Halloween is the best time of the year for many of us. Impersonating the characters we love can be a lot of fun, and the whole dark/spooky mood is bound to arouse our creativity and imagination.
If you have kids, dress ‘em up. If you have PETS, dress ‘em up. Halloween is all about treats, awesome costumes and jump scares. It doesn’t matter if you can spend a lot of money, or no money at all – you can make great costumes using only pieces of clothing that you already have.
Here you will find some tips for expensive, cheap, or free costumes. Let yourself get carried away – the most important thing is to have lots of fun.
1 – Yes, you’re looking at THE dress. You may hate it, you may Love it, but you have certainly – as have everyone else – talked about it. It doesn’t matter if it is black and blue or white and gold: it is a hit costume either way.
2 – She may not look like the Scarlet Witch in the comics, but she does look AWESOME. The Age of Ultron anti-heroine is a good costume for this year’s Halloween.
3 – The classics are classics for a reason. This day-of-the-dead inspired costume looks stunning.
4 – Inside Out’s Sadness was born a classic character. A costume that will only require two accessories and a few pieces of clothing you probably already have. Painting your face blue is optional.
5 – Korra is already an iconic cartoon heroine, and this costume looks just wonderful. But truth be told, all Avatar characters make great Halloween costumes.
6 – Another fan favorite. Characters from The Addams are always the right choice for a Halloween costume.
7 – The Pope is trendy! Who would have imagined that a Pope could ever become a pop culture reference?
8 – Breaking Bad will never get old. With this costume you’ll be able to impersonate Jesse, Heisenberg, or, you know, just a regular meth cook.
9 – The Daredevil was pronounced dead after the Ben Affleck fiasco. Fortunately, we were all wrong. The hero is back in his best shape ever.
10 – Rumor has it that if you say “Beetlejuice” 3 times, a movie sequel will get made. With Beetlejuice 2 on the way this classic Halloween character is a sure shot.
11 – The Michael Bay movie may not be as good as we have hoped, but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hold a special place on our hearts either way.
12 – A geeky costume for the Doctor’s fans. If you don’t like this one, you may choose one of the previous doctors – honestly, they are all great.
13 – Another classic one. The TV series just got canceled, but Mads Mikkelsen did what we thought to be impossible: he delivered a Hannibal Lecter as good as the one played by Anthony Hopkins.
14. This great beloved TV show is returning in 2016. This costume can be made with items that you already have, but it works much better if you have a Mulder or Scully partner walking around with you.
15 – At last, a born-classic horror movie character. This costume is all about the right make-up, but it is bound to be a Halloween hit.
